Icon “ELEUSA” with Silver Byzantine Frame

The icon of Panagia “Parigoritissa” is contemporary, created in the iconography workshop of the Xenophontos Monastery on Mount Athos. It is located in the first part of the monastery’s katholikon, called the “liti,” beneath the construction fresco of the Great Prayer. The Virgin Mary, as the Mother of Christ, is also the mother of all believers, generously offering them Her divine comfort.
