A precise copy of the miraculous icon of Saint George (the Healer). It dates back to the 9th century. The original is located on Mount Athos, in the Holy Xenophontos Monastery.

Jesus Christ the Almighty (Pantokrator).
The oldest surviving image from the period of iconoclasm
is a 6th-century icon preserved in the Monastery of Saint Catherine in Sinai, Egypt.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end,” says the Lord,
“Who is, Who was, and Who is to come,
the Almighty.”

“Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing, and I will receive you;
and I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters,” says the Lord Almighty.

“I AM the Ever-Existing One… Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel:
‘The Ever-Existing One (Yahweh) has sent me to you.’”

The Pantokrator (Greek παντοκράτωρ, El Shaddai — the All-Powerful) is the earliest and most fundamental iconographic image of Jesus Christ in the Christian East, portraying the Savior as the Heavenly King and Judge.
This is expressed especially strongly through the characteristic asymmetry and deep expression of His eyes: Christ’s gaze is at once stern and gentle, filled with compassion and longing. This image reveals most fully both His Divine and human nature.

Christ the Pantokrator is depicted frontally — seated on a throne, shown full-length, half-length, or bust-length, dressed in a mantle without any external attributes of divine majesty.

His right hand is raised in blessing. In His left hand He holds a scroll or the Gospel.
A halo with a cross surrounds Christ’s face, bearing the letters IC and XC, forming the Christogram ICXC (Jesus Christ).
