MADE ON MOUNT ATHOS. BLESSED AT THE HOLY MONASTERY OF XENOPHONT.

1. I am the Lord your God; you shall have no other gods besides Me.
2. You shall not make for yourself an idol or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or on the earth beneath, or in the waters under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them.
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath day* to keep it holy; six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God.
5. Honor your father and your mother, so that it may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.
6. You shall not kill.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
8. You shall not steal.
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife; nor his field; nor his male servant; nor his female servant; nor his ox; nor his donkey; nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.

*For Christians, from apostolic times, this is the day of Christ’s Resurrection — Sunday.
