As its name suggests, the word “propolis” comes from the Greek words “pro” and “polis,” meaning it is a protective shield of the beehive against external threats. It is the structural material of the hive, used for its protection and disinfection, as well as to seal various cracks. At the same time, it provides antimicrobial action and prevents the growth of microbes inside the hive. It has strong antimicrobial, antiviral, and antifungal effects.
Thanks to its high flavonoid content, it helps combat respiratory infections. Propolis is an important ingredient for the prevention and treatment of seasonal viruses, flu, and generally protects against colds. Propolis tincture has strong antibiotic properties, protects the body, and is used to treat infections, microbes, and bacteria.
Recommended Daily Dose:
Internal use (oral): Used preventively to strengthen the immune system: 10 drops daily, during the first week of each month. For treatment of specific issues, use the same amount 2–3 times per day while symptoms persist, always consulting your doctor.
External use: Apply 1–2 drops locally and repeat the procedure 4–5 times per day.
For children: Half of the adult dose is recommended.
